In CabGrid Pro, customers fill out a form to request a booking. This is sent to the WordPress admin email address (ADMIN > SETTINGS > GENERAL > Email Address). If enabled, customers can also make a credit or debit card payment which is processed by Paypal (or other provider).
When a booking request is submitted, the taxi company can check the details and confirm or decline the booking using their usual mechanism. This might be as simple as replying to the booking email.
To avoid losing customers due to delayed booking confirmation, we recommend explaining the booking process in the acknowledgment message. This is configured in the CabGrid admin under the ‘Booking Sent Message‘ option.
The customer can also be sent a booking request acknowledgement email. The message can be customised in the Cab Grid Pro OPTIONS tab under ‘Email Acknowledgement Message‘.
Further to this, an email auto-responder can be configured to automatically reply to taxi booking requests. In this case it is advisable to configure a dedicated email address in the WordPress admin just for booking requests. This way a response can be tailored specifically for these requests.
Messages sent to customers are sent from the admin email address unless a dedicated email address is specified under ‘Email Sending Address‘ on the CabGrid Pro OPTIONS tab.
CabGrid will also attach a CSV file to admin notification emails containing raw booking data that can be imported directly into a third-party booking system.
Booking Management Add-on
The CabGrid Booking Management add-on allows bookings to be managed through the WordPress Admin. It also automates many booking process functions. This would normally be used to replace any off-line management process.
Hi I wan this plugin for India. Will be available.
Because I want calculation for India Google maps and inr currency
Cab Grid will work just as well in India as any other country.
The currency can be configured in the OPTIONS tab of the Cab Grid admin page.
Unlike our sister product, TaxiMap, Cab Grid does not use Google Maps to calculate a distance between two arbitrary locations set by the user; rather it offers pre-defined areas for users to choose and looks up prices for journeys between them.
Cab Grid Pro offers a checkout facility. Payments are processed through Paypal. This means only currencies supported by Paypal are offered. See Paypal for more info.
Is there a way that the plugin can list all bookings in a table so that we can see an overview of all bookings ?
My understanding is that I t will only send an email to the admin of site – is that correct
Hi – yes, you are correct. Cab Grid does not store booking requests online. They are only sent via email.
We are considering a feature to send booking data as a CSV so it can be imported to local systems.
Is there a good reason for Cab Grid to store them online?
im planning to integrate this into a clients tour and travel business. All there sold tours are stored within the WordPress admin area for their reference and I was hoping to achieve the same with CabGrid.
Its a small company that don’t want to have to diarise bookings separately just want to have it available within the backend to view….
Is there anyway that you can suggest at present to make this happen ?
I love your plugin as does my client but its problematic if there is no way to store this information within the plugin itself…..
Thanks for the speedy response,
There is currently no functionality to store booking requests within the plugin, but since there appears to be demand, it is certainly something we will look at for future revisions.
Sorry there is no immediate solution via Cab Grid… I imagine one could do some scripting in Gmail (or similar) that would extract the booking data from the email and add it to a Google Calendar?
Incidentally, http://taximap.co.uk (our sister product) does offer online booking management (acknowledgment, confirmation, search, sort, etc… including SMS text messages to customer’s mobiles).
We now provide an add-on plugin that stores and displays bookings in the WordPress admin. See https://cabgrid.com/taxi-booking-management-system/
Also, as mentioned below, CabGrid Pro will include a CSV file containing booking data when sending notification emails. This data can then be imported into offline systems.
hola estoy pensando en integrarlo en una empresa de minibus el cual la tarifa dependeria del numero de viageros y con extras como bicicletas bolsas de golf y bultos grandes.
se puede programar ? gracias
Cab Grid Pro can calculate minibus journey prices between two places.
Cab Grid will choose the smallest vehicle with capacity for the number of travellers and luggage entered, then look up the price for a journey in that vehicle between the selected pick-up and drop-off point.
If the price will increase each time an extra traveller (and luggage/golf bag) is added, you would need to add a vehicle for each capacity. So, you would have a vehicle for 1 passenger and 1 bag, then one for 2 passengers and 2 bags, and so on.
This is not an elegant solution, but you would have exact control over every potential journey price. It would require effort to enter all of these prices.
Alternatively, we are able to augment the plugin with additional code specific to your requirements for a fee: https://cabgrid.com/hire-us/
